Questions from Dini:

1: What is your favorite book genre?

Crime and horror have always been my favourite
2: What book do you wish would be made into a TV series/movie?

I would love to see my all time favourite book Shantaram made into a movie.
3: You need to escape your house (for some reason) and can only bring 3 books in your bag. What books would you take?

Oh this one is hard, but I go with

Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts

Zone 22 by Tig Hague

The Borrowers Afield by Mary Norton
4: Why did you start a book blog?

I’ve always thought it would be cool to have a Blog where I could share my love for books, with other book lovers and also to make some new book loving friends. So I decided it’s finally time to attempt one. You can read more about it on my about me page here
5: What was your last 5-star read and why?

The Focus Program

The Focus Program by K.T. Dady. It was fab. I can’t say too much about this one at the moment. But I have a review for it coming in a few days, so keep an eye out.
6: What’s a destination you want to visit because of a book you read?

There are way too many places I would love to visit after reading books but I think my first choice would be New Zealand. Oh and for a fictional place would love to visit all the places mentioned through out the Harry Potter series.

7: If you could read any book again for the first time, which book would it be and why?

Oh I any of the Roald Dahl books. They were my favourite when growing up, I still love them to this day. In fact I’m hoping to re-read them all to my nephew. We’re currently reading The BFG together.

8: Do you read books in another language? If yes, what language?

Sadly no. I so wish I could read another language.

9: Which fictional character do you think is most like you?

I’m going to choose Charlie Bucket from Charlie and the chocolate Factory or HermioneGranger

10: Which fictional world would you most like to visit or live in and why?

I would have to choose the wizarding world from the Harry Potter series. Wouldn’t it be cool to visit all the places mentioned in the books.

11: What popular book and/or author do you hate?

Ok for this one I’m going to go with Into The Water by Paula Hawkins. I picked it up several times but just couldn’t get into it and ended up DNF-ing it. I also ended up DNF-ing The Girl on The Train.

Questions from Autumn:

1: What is the worst character death you have ever read?

Many years ago I read a book where a character was murdered by being buried alive and having concrete poured over them while still being alive. It’s so frustrating I can’t remember the name of the book.
2: What book would you own a hundred copies of if you could?

The Harry Potter series. If I had the space or funds I would buy all the books in the series with the different front covers.
3: What two characters, from different series, do you think would make a great couple?

oh, this is another hard one. My mind has gone totally blank. I’ll have to come back to this one.
4: Who was the first blogger you ever followed?

I can’t remember for sure but I think it was Laura over at Roachies Reviews

5: What character do you wish you could swap places with for a day?

Oh I think I would love to swap with Jacob from Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

6: If you could get an ARC of any one of your most anticipated releases, which would it be?

The Other People by C.J. Tudor. OMG I had loved the last two books she’s written and I can’t wait to read this one.

7: What is your least favorite book you have read this year?

China Rich Girlfriend

China Rich Girlfriend by Kevin Kwan. This was such a disappointing read. you can read my full review here

8: What is a book or series that you feel is overrated?

Oh this is quite a hard question, as I haven’t read that many series. But one book I felt was over rated was Milkman by Anna Burns. I’d had a few recommendations for this book, and had also heard great things but I ended up DNF-ing it.

9: What is a series you have been wanting to get into, but keep putting off?

All book series written by Brandon Sanderson. I’ve heard so many great things about this authors books but I just don’t know where to start.

10: What is a hyped book you have no interest in reading?

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I have to admit I did pick up a copy from my library but never got around to reading it and ended up returning.

11: What is your favorite female and favorite male character?

There are just way too many and I really can’t decide which ones to put here. Maybe I’ll do a separate post for this question. Keep an eye out!!!

  1. I can’t believe I missed this post of yours but I love the answers you gave to all the questions! I totally relate to your answer about Into the Water by Paula Hawkins. That book was so disappointing, I can’t believe I even finished it 😂 And YES! Shantaram! I just lent my copy to a colleague last month but that book was wow. I need to re-read it again but I remember loving it when I read it ages ago. I think it’d make an awesome movie!
