Let’s get started!!

Questions from Molly

What is your favourite book from childhood?

I have way too many. But, my two favourites are Mrs Jolly’s Joke Shop by Allan Ahlberg and The Borrower’s Afield by Mary Norton. I still have this book sitting on my shelf, it was my first hardcover book my parents brought me.

Do you have a blog schedule or do you post as and when you feel like it?

I try to schedule most of my posts, but sometimes I just post on the day.

What is your favourite movie adaptation of a book?

I have a few favourites. The first is the movie The Theory of Everything. I loved watching that film. In fact I’ve watched it 3 times already. I though Eddie Redmayne did an absolutely great job in playing the role of Stephen Hawking. The other two book adaptions I enjoyed watching include My Sister’s Keeper and The Traveller’s Wife.

Give your bookish #unpopularopinion

What’s the point of reading erotic books? I can’t work out why people love reading these types of books. (I actually had a conversation about this with a friend who won’t read anything else, and was trying to get me to read this genre)

Do you keep your books in perfect condition or bend the spines/fold the pages

I try to keep all my books in perfect condition and try not to bend the spines.  I actually only have 2 damaged books on my shelf. One has pages falling out and a cracked spine, and that’s only because I lent the copy out and came back battered. The second book that is damaged is my all time favourite book Shantaram by Gregory David . That was damaged by my brother, but he did offer to buy me a replacement, but after piling some heavy books on top you can’t tell unless you look very closely.

What bloggers are you inspired by most?

Oh I have to say all you wonderful people, who have followed me and helped me grow. I take inspiration from all the posts I read.

Link the blogpost you’re most proud of?

I’m proud of the my book review post of Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined by Stephanie Meyer. I’m proud of this post because I got the most views and like for it.

Favourite Disney movie?

I love all things Disney, as well as the movies. I have way too many favourites to list on this post. But the one I’ve watched the most is Finding Nemo.

What are your top 3 favourite books?

  1. Shantaram by Gregory David
  2. Zone 22 Tig Hague
  3. Handle With Care by Jodi Piccolo

Music of choice whilst writing blogposts?

I don’t actually listen to music when writing blogposts. I usually have the TV on in the background or listen to an audiobook.

Are you apart of any book clubs?

Yes I joined a book club in July 2018. It’s held at one of my local libraries. I was invited to join by one of my friends. The great thing is because it’s run by the library I don’t have to buy the books and can spend my money on the many books I want to buy.

I also joined one a few years ago, but only stayed with them for one book reading, it was way too intense for me so never went back to that one again.
