Happy Wednesday!!!
Hope you’re all doing well and have had a good week since last weeks post!!
Well what can I say I’ve had a super chilled out week. I’ve done absolutely nothing except for listening to a lot of audiobooks. All my holds that I was expecting in January and February have all started coming in early so I’ve been listening to those while online shopping for the last few Christmas presents.
So, without further ado lets get into this weeks reading update!!!!
What is WWW Wednesday?
It’s a weekly meme that I first discovered on Roachies Reviews blog, and that is originally hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
All you have to do is answer 3 simple questions:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you plan to read next?
Beloved by Toni Morrison – I wasn’t expecting my audiobook hold to come through till next year, but it became available as skip the line on my library app. Not to sure about it at the moment as not very far into it, but have heard some promising things about it so fingers crossed I end up liking it.
The Bookish LIfe of Nintendo Hill by Abbi Waxman – Another audiobook I wasn’t expecting to come through till middle of January. Again not very far into this one either but shouldn’t take me too long to finish.
Last One At The Party by Bethany Clift – I was lucky enough to be approved a copy from NetGalley. I’m 65% in. I should have finished this one over the weekend but I ended up miss placing my Kindle. Found it on Monday amongst the goodies bag full of stocking fillers.
A Promised Land by Barack Obama – Nearly at the end of the audiobook, well I say nearly but I still have 8 hours left till I get to the end. It’s an interesting listen.
The Cleaner by Elisabeth Herrmann – This audiobook kept coming up as a recommendation on my library app and I finally gave in and downloaded it. Really enjoyed the first half but struggled with the second half which was got a little confusing.
Darkness Is Mine by Carla Louise Robinson – This was a little slow to get going, but soon picked up and ended up being a good read.
SNAP by Belinda Bauer – I wasn’t too sure about this one!! There were some aspects I liked and some I didn’t.
The Dressmaker’s Doll by Agatha Christie – This was a quick read. It’s only 37 pages long, I opted to download the audiobook from BorrowBox, which I finished in 20 minutes. A strange but quick read.
Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff – This took me a little longer to finish than planned. It was quite good but I wasn’t blown away by it. I’m glad to have crossed it off my TBR this year, at this point not sure if I’ll be picking up the next book.
The Evening and the Morning by Ken Follett – Finished this tome. Wasn’t quite sure what to expect but I loved the audiobook.
Seriously no idea at the moment, as I said at the beginning of this post all my audiobook holds are coming in from the library so I need to prioritise those as if I miss my hold I’ll have to go to the end of the hold line and that would probably mean waiting months and months for my turn again. Wish me luck.

I should have a review for it in the New Year.
The Dressmaker’s Doll is a very short story so won’t take long to read at all. 😉. Have a great week ahead!!

I loved Beloved by Toni Morrison, though it’s been many years since I read it. I remember that it is such a moving and poignant story. Enjoy all of those wonderful books!
