WWW Wednesday – 22nd December 2021

Happy Wednesday Folks!!

Hope you’re all doing well!! Welcome to this weeks WWW Wednesday!!

You may have noticed last week I didn’t post a reading update, and that was mainly because I didn’t actually manage to read a whole lot. Since my last update here. But since then I’ve managed to finish and start some great books as well as some not so great!!

So, without further ado let’s get into this week’s reading update!!

What is WWW Wednesday?

It’s a weekly meme that I first discovered on Roachies Reviews blog, and that is originally hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

All you have to do is answer 3 simple questions:

What are you currently reading?

What have you recently finished reading?

What do you plan to read next?

I’m currently have two books on the go. The first is The Dragon Republic by R. F. Kuang. I raced through The Poppy War and am loving the series. I’m almost halfway through and loving this one too!!

The second book I started is A Boy Called Christmas by Matt Haig. I just had to fit in a Christmas read and lucky enough my audiobook hold from the library came through on BorrowBox yesterday afternoon. I’m not very far into this one so can’t really say whether I’m liking it or not!!

(Click on the book titles to find out more about the books on Goodreads)

Since my last update I finished 7 books. And these are what I finished:

The first book I finished was The Honjin Murders by Seishi Yokomizo. This was recommend to me by a friends, this wasn’t a bad read but I was confused most of the way and it is rather slow and boring at the beginning!

The second book I finished was Ever Rest by Roz Morris this was a really interesting read that I enjoyed very much. You can read my thoughts here.

The third book I finished was The Truth Will Out by Jane Isaac. This is a book that had been waiting on my shelves for a while. I have mixed thoughts on this one. The plot was interesting but very predictable.

The fourth book finished was The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang. OMG! I can really see why so many people have loved this series!! I absolutely devoured it!! I will be reviewing this one once I’ve finished the whole series.

The final book I finished was Revolution by Henry Bassett. This is the final book in The Black Bear Brotherhood series and a great read! Full review to come hopefully tomorrow so keep an eye out!!

Next up will be The Burning God by R. F. Kuang as I really want to finish the series before the year is out and also hoping to pick up We Watch You by N S Ford. I’ll be reading this for an upcoming blog tour organised by @The_WriteReads. I’m really excited to read this one it sounds so good!!

What’s  everyone currently reading, finished reading or planning to read next? Don’t forget to leave links to your WWW Wednesday.

Happy Reading!!!
