My Thoughts & Review
I downloaded an audiobook of this one, I fancied a change and thought I would try this one out. I kept seeing it at the bookshop and was drawn to it by the cover.
This was an exciting YA/middle grade book, filled with adventure and intriguing storyline which has been written with great imagination and mystical magic elements.
When I first started listening to this book I thought it was set in the past but later as I carried on listening I realised that it was actually set in present times.
What I found intriguing was reading about the folklore of Malamander.
I thought the book had a nice mix of characters, which went from being very likeable to some being not as likeable. I thought the characters were well done, and thought they brought the story to life.
The narrator Alfie Allan has done a great job. He brought the story and characters to life.
This was a fun and quick read, which was just what I needed.
