And what is this stuff called strangeness which comes bubbling out of the ground? When Peter discovers the dark secret which lurks at the heart of this place, he finds his efforts to make things better do not go according to plan. My Thoughts & Review

Firstly, I would like to thank the author for sending me a review copy of this book.

This is Grim Darkwood’s debut and first novel in theVale of StrangeSeries. It’s originally aimed at readers aged 8-12 year olds but after reading it I think it’s a great read for any age.

For someone who hasn’t read a book in the age group for ages I really found it enjoyable.

The book is beautifully written, with an interesting story full of adventure and strange creatures. It was also funny and gripping  all at the same time.

I thought the pacing was perfect for the age group that this book is aimed for. I finished this book quite quickly as it is very short with only 280 pages. A perfect length for young readers.

The character’s felt very unique and interesting and I liked them very much.

The ending of this book was really good. It leaves you ready for the next book. I look forward to seeing what Grim Darkwood has planned for the next book in series.

Overall a quick and fun read, full of great imagination from the author and a book that is great for readers of all ages.

Would I recommend this book?

Definitely a book I would recommend. Especially if your looking for something a little different and a quick read.
