WWW Wednesday – 18th May 2022

Welcome to this weeks WWW Wednesday!! I hope you’re all doing well and have had a great and safe week!!

I don’t have much to report back this week. It’s been a pretty quiet one compared to the last few weeks!! The weather has been warming up here in the UK and I’ve been trying to make the most of it. Over the weekend I had my nephews around (7 & 2). On Saturday, we spent the afternoon having a water fight in the garden and on Sunday the weather was back to being gloomy and wet so we just ended up make chocolate Rice Krispy squares playing games and watching cartoons!!

The last two days the weather has been nice again so I’ve been taking advantage of the sun and have been reading/listening to audiobooks in the garden, my youngest nephew played with his water and sand activity table. I even managed to work on a couple of blog post and NetGalley reviews!!

In terms of reading it’s been a steady week. Although I haven’t really managed to do much reading physically, I did finish a couple of audiobooks and an eARC. So, let’s get into this week’s reading update!!

What is WWW Wednesday?

It’s a weekly meme that I first discovered on Roachies Reviews blog, and that is originally hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

All you have to do is answer 3 simple questions:

What are you currently reading?

What have you recently finished reading?

What do you plan to read next?

Last night I started The Gifts by Liz Hyder. I have no idea what it’s about, other than it’s a Historical Fiction, but a friend gifted me a signed copy as an early birthday present. I decided to go into it blind as I find I enjoy Historical Fiction books much more when I know little about the story. I’ve only read a chapter so far, so can’t really say whether I’m enjoying it or not as yet.

Sunday night I started The Wolf Den by Elodie Harper. I had to move this up the TBR as I was lucky enough to be sent a finished copy of the second book in the series by LoveReading UK and Head of Zeus to review. At first I wasn’t sure if this book was for me, but now I’m really getting into it!!

I’m making nice steady progress with my buddy read 11.22.63 by Stephen King. I was flicking through some old book journals and discovered that this is my 3rd time re-reading this book and I’m still loving it just as much as the first time I read it!!

Last night I finished listening to The Golden Couple by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen. I wasn’t too sure about this one at the start but it definitely got more interesting.

Monday night I managed to finish One of the Girls by Lucy Clarke. I really enjoyed this one!! I will be hopefully sharing my thoughts about this one soon as it was an eARC that I was approved for on NetGalley.

I also finished listening to the audiobook of Magpie by Elizabeth Day. This was another one of those books that I knew very little about and one that I wasn’t sure about at the start, but once I got into the flow ended up enjoying it.

My audiobook hold for The House With The Golden Door by Elodie Harper. I was lucky to have been sent a finished copy of this book by LoveReading UK and Head of Zeus.

Do let me know below what you’re currently reading, finished reading or planning to read next? and don’t forget to leave links to your WWW Wednesday below if you have one!!

Happy reading till the next reading update!!
