Synopsis/Blurb (Taken from Goodreads):
“Something strange is happening at the Orsk furniture superstore in Cleveland, Ohio. Every morning, employees arrive to find broken Kjerring bookshelves, shattered Glans water goblets, and smashed Liripip wardrobes. Sales are down, security cameras reveal nothing, and store managers are panicking.
To unravel the mystery, three employees volunteer to work a nine-hour dusk-till-dawn shift. In the dead of the night, they’ll patrol the empty showroom floor, investigate strange sights and sounds, and encounter horrors that defy the imagination.
A traditional haunted house story in a thoroughly contemporary setting, Horrorstör is designed to retain its luster and natural appearance for a lifetime of use. Pleasingly proportioned with generous French flaps and a softcover binding, Horrorstör delivers the psychological terror you need in the elegant package you deserve.”

My Thoughts
This was my first book by Grady Hendrix and honestly I don’t know how I feel about it. So many have loved this book, and yes it started off good and I loved the unique format but sadly as I read on the plot felt flat and became an effort to finish. And in the end I became bored and lost interest.
I was hoping for something scary with a hint of humour but sadly I didn’t get any of those things. Sometimes a disappointing storyline can still be rescued, as long as there are good characters, but once again they did nothing for me. They felt very dull and I really had no interest on what happened to them.
Although I’m glad I picked this one up, I am sad to say it wasn’t for me and honestly just over hyped. But hey you can’t love them all!
This is definitely one of those books you’ll either love or hate!!

I haven’t read this one but I did like The Final Girl Support Group, which I’d recommend if you want to give the author another try.
