Hi Folks!!
Hope you’re all well.
Today I’m sharing another fun tag that the wonderful Leslie @Books Are The New Black tagged me in back in April! I love doing tags but I’m just so bad at doing them on time🙈! Sorry for the delay Leslie!!
If you want to get to know Leslie more check out her post here. And don’t forget to follow her if you don’t already 🙂.
Now let’s get into the tag!!
Rules:
- Nominated bloggers can nominate ten other bloggers.
- Use the same questions from the tag.
- Tag the original creator (Bibliomavens) and the blogger who tagged you
Who is your all-time favourite book character?
Oh, this is a hard question, as there are so many characters I love but the very first one that comes to mind is Matilda and very closely second would be Hermione !!! I love both characters!!
If you were stranded on a desert island, which book would you take with you? (Survival books do not count)
Ok this is a difficult one as firstly I wouldn’t be able to survive with just one book even if it was my all-time favourite as I love read a variety. Secondly, these days I tend to care my Kindle more than a physical book as it’s lighter and easier to carry around.
What’s your most unpopular book opinion?
Ok, here goes I think some books are just way too hyped up. Here are just a few I read in recent months that I either didn’t enjoy or ended up DNF-ing.
Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
What’s your weirdest bookish habit?
For this I would say my habit of wiping down all books I get with antibacterial wipes, no matter where they come from. I personally don’t think this is weird as I’ve been doing it for years. But some of my family and friends think this is weird.
What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?
Honestly, have no idea!!
What made you decide to start a book blog?
Well, a few years ago, I started reviewing books for LoveReading.co.uk which sparked my love for writing down my thoughts on books. From there I did a little research and found the book blogging community. I loved the thought of being able to share my views on books and bookish things with other bibliophiles, so decided it was time to jump in and join the book community with my very own blog.
What about reading and books do you love the most?
I love reading as it’s relaxing and I find books are a great way to escape the real world!!
What is your field of study/desired profession/current profession?
Well, I have a degree in IT, but I got bored in the field so went on to become a qualified youth worker. Sadly, the place where I was working as youth worker closed and the new locations were all too far for me to travel especially in my wheelchair. So, I ended up volunteering at a local primary school working with the younger kids at the school. I absolutely loved working with children so I went back to study for my Diploma in Child Care and education. I had been volunteering at my local pre-school but had to stop 3 years ago to health reasons so at present I’m at home.
What are some book recommendations that became your favourites/obsessions?
Ok, so there are a lots of books that have been recommended to me but I’m ashamed to admit that I have really got around to picking a majority of them up as yet.
What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?
There are 2 books that are my all time favourites and recommend to anyone and everyone that will listen, and those are Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts and Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult.

Huh, we share a weird bookish habit! Ever since I started working in a library, I also wipe my books down. I didn’t think of that when I did this tag myself a few weeks ago 😅
