My Thoughts

Autem is the second book in The Sationem Series. Having read the first book Animo back in November 2020 I couldn’t wait to pick this one up. Autem continues on from where Animo ended. In Autem we follow Willow and Blue as they try to save the magical world within the Sationem, which is under attack from Hazel, who is a necromancer.

Autem is well written with a very interesting storyline that I flew through. As I mentioned earlier I have been following this series from the beginning and can really see the difference in the writing style between the first book and this book. And you can really see Lisa’s confidence in writing grow through the story and the characters.

I thought the plot in Autem was faster paced and one that I think I enjoyed more. I really enjoyed watching the characters develop more in this book. My favourite character was definitely Blue.

Also, what another great front cover!! I love how the covers to both books are simple yet very eye catching.

All in all, a great read. I know my thoughts on this book are a little thin but honestly this is one of those series that you need to read for yourselves as if I try to explain my thoughts more it would definitely lead to spoilers. So, if you’re a fan of YA fantasy and looking for a new Indie author to try out I definitely recommend Lisa and this series.
