“Kira Navárez dreamed of life on new worlds. Now she’s awakened a nightmare. During a routine survey mission on an uncolonized planet, Kira finds an alien relic. At first she’s delighted, but elation turns to terror when the ancient dust around her begins to move.
As war erupts among the stars, Kira is launched into a galaxy-spanning odyssey of discovery and transformation. First contact isn’t at all what she imagined, and events push her to the very limits of what it means to be human.
While Kira faces her own horrors, Earth and its colonies stand upon the brink of annihilation. Now, Kira might be humanity’s greatest and final hope.”
My Thoughts & Review
I don’t normally post my views on DNFed books but I technically hadn’t DNFed this book until after I scheduled my posted my 2020 DNFed Books post, so here we are!!!
I had such high hopes for this one. The premises sounded really good but sadly I didn’t make it to the end. I decided to download the audiobook from my library and I’m so glad I did now. I made it to 69% before I decided to give up.
This one stared off really interesting but quickly went downhill, and as I read on it just got slower and slower, to the point I was truly bored. I was so bored that I ended up listening to it to help me fall asleep for a few nights before I came to the conclusion that I should just return it back to the library.
I couldn’t connect with any of the characters and found them to be under developed just found them to be really flat and boring!!!
If you’ve managed to get to the end of this book and loved it well done and congratulations!!! If you haven’t read this one yet be warned you may be very disappointed but on the other hand you may fall in love with it, but I wish you luck!!!
This wasn’t the book for me but that’s ok as we can’t all love the same books!!!
