Naughty or Nice Book Tag!!!

Thank You Danni over at For Books Sake for tagging me in this years Naughty or Nice Books Tag. Don’t forget to check out and follow Danni’s blog if you don’t already she has some great posts!!!

Last year I was on the nice side so lets see which side I’ll be on this year!!!

Here are the rules for this tag:

  • Tag & link the person who tagged you
  • Tag and link me/this post (if you would be so kind, I love reading your answers!)
  • Mark off the ones on this list you’ve done.
  • Tag more people!

Received an ARC and not reviewed itNice!

I’ve finished and reviewed all the physical ARCs I received this year, but do have a few NetGalley eARCs left but those are due until February. I also have a couple of eARCS that were sent to me directly by authors which I’ll have read by the end of the month.

Have Less than 60% feedback rating on NetGalley Nice!

I’ve been on a mission to catch up with my NetGalley eARCs the last few months and I managed to catch up and get up to date. As I said in the previous question I do have a few eARCs still left to read but they aren’t due until February 2021. My current feedback rating is 94% but I do still have a couple of reviews to submit.

Rated a book on Goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)Nice!

I usually post my reviews on my blog first and then transfer them onto Goodreads as soon as I get time. So, not really a problem for me.

Folded down the page of a bookNice!

This year I’ve not folded down the page of any book as far as I can remember, and the main reason for this is the most obvious which is I haven’t left the house much and done the majority of my reading at home so I’ve always had a bookmark or something to hand.

Accidentally spilled on a book – Naughty!

For the first time ever I spilt some tea on a book and it was a library book. Luckily it had one of those plastic jackets so there was no damage done.

DNF a book this year – Naughty!

I’m still getting used to the idea of DNF-ing books but I did DNF a few more than last year.

Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading itNice!

I also buy a book with the intention of reading it, but if it has a pretty cover it’s a bonus. Also I don’t really have the space on my shelves in my bedroom to keep books that I wouldn’t read.

Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework) – Naughty!

I do this all the time, but think I’ve done it more this year with all the time at home. Also, aren’t all bookworms guilty of this. Lol.

Skim read a book – Naughty!

Yes, I admit it I’m guilty of doing this I’ve only done with very slow and boring parts of books, and most of the time I ended up DNF-ing the book.

Completely missed your Goodreads goalNice!

I only really started setting Goodreads goals since 2019 but I have smashed them for 2 years running.

Borrowed a book and not returned itNice!

No matter where I borrow my books from they are always returned.

Broke a book buying banNice!

This year I’ve not set a book buying ban as I’ve not needed too. I’ve not really gone too mad on buying books this year as I’ve really concentrated on reducing the TBR.

Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was aboutNice!

I usually write rough notes straight after finishing the book so I don’t really forget. But I do forget to write them up sometimes, hence them appearing on my blog in a different order as to when they were read.

Wrote in a book you were reading – Nice!

No way!!! I would never write in my books unless it was absolutely necessary. The last time I wrote in a book was when I was at school.

Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads – Nice!

I always update my Goodreads. I have the app downloaded on my phone so I can do it at anytime.

Dodge someone asking if they can borrow a book – Nice!

Well with the year we’ve had this year and with all the restrictions I haven’t seen any of my friends in person so I’ve not had to dodged anyone asking to borrow a book.

Also there are only a couple of people who are allowed to borrow my books

Broke the spine of someone else’s book – Nice!

I try not to break the spines of my own books so there is no way I would break the spine go someone else’s book.

Took the jacket off a book to protect it and ended uo making it more damaged – Nice!

I try to keep my books looking pristine, so I’m always careful to make sure both the book and dust jacket are kept like new.

Sat on a book accidentally – Naughty!

Oh I’ve done this so many times, usually when I leave the book on the sofa or my wheelchair.

So am on the NAUGHTY OR NICE list

NICE = 14

WOOHOO!!! Made it on the nice list for the 2nd year running!!!!

I’m not tagging anyone specifically but if you’ve reached this far your tagged!!!! If you have time and want to do the tag feel free to take part and don’t forget to tag back to me as I LOVE READING EVERYONES answers!!

  1. Loved reading your answers! 94% on NG👏👏👏 I’m afraid I’d get a few more ‘Naughty’ answers and that’s why I’ve been avoiding this tag😁 DNFing shouldn’t be considered naughty 🤔

    • Thank you!! Agree DNF shouldn’t be considered as Naughty especially when some of us already struggle to do it 😉.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!! 🎅🎄🎁📚
