WWW Wednesday – 16th December 2020

Happy Wednesday!!!

Hope you’re all doing well and have had a good week since last weeks post!!

I haven’t been up to much again.

I had a hospital appointment for a follow up appointment to check on my recovery from my surgery in July. Got some mixed news. The good news is the surgery was successful and everything has healed up nicely including the stress fracture which is great. But bad news I need to have a CT & MRI scan done as the surgeon isn’t quite sure where the pain is coming from but suspects there is now something going on with my hip, so may need to be referred to the hip specialist. So, looks like I have more hospital visits to look forward to in 2021.

Reading wise it’s been another good week, so without further ado lets get into this weeks reading update!!!!

What is WWW Wednesday?

It’s a weekly meme that I first discovered on Roachies Reviews blog, and that is originally hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

All you have to do is answer 3 simple questions:

What are you currently reading?

What have you recently finished reading?

What do you plan to read next?

Dead Time by D.L.Orton – After the cliffhanger ending in the previous book I couldn’t wait to start this one. I’m just over half way through the audiobook and really enjoying it so far!!!

Th1rt3en by Steve Cavanagh – Another book I’ve wanted to read for a while, but only just got. I took this one with me to a hospital appointment so managed to get quite a bit read. It’s really liking it so far.

The Shard by Jane Shand – This was sent to me by the author after she contacted me asking if I would be interested in reviewing it. The premises sounded really interesting. It’s started off a little slow but is picking up now.

A Promised Land by Barack Obama – Finally finished this very long audiobook. It was an interesting read/listen. I enjoyed the majority of it but did struggle with some of the political stuff. I hope to share my review with you some time in the New Year.

The Bookish LIfe of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman  – I wasn’t too sure what to expect from this audiobook. But I ended up really liking it. Not my usual pick but glad I listened to the audiobook made a nice change.

Beloved by Toni Morrison – Wasn’t to sure about this one to start with but it grew on me. I still trying to get my thoughts on this one together.

Last One At The Party by Bethany Clift – Finally finished this one!!! It was good but at the same time a bit repetitive. I can’t tell you too much about it at the moment as I need to get my thoughts together on it, but do look out for a review some time in the New Year!!

Well i’m not 100% sure as some more audiobook hold are meant to be coming through from the library on BorrowBox so it’ll probably be one of those as well as an eARC but not quite sure what to choose, so I’m just going to go with the flow.

What’s  everyone currently reading, finished reading or planning to read next? Don’t forget to leave links to your WWW Wednesday

    • I know just had to get that cliffhanger resolved, glad I didn’t have to wait long in-between the books.

A Promised Land was interesting but I did struggle with the political side. Hopefully should have a review some time in the New Year.

Thanks for sharing the link to your WWW Wednesday!!

      Have a great reading week!!

    • Thanks Jules!!!

Recovery from surgery has gone well, just need scans to see what’s causing the pain in rest of my leg as it’s a new pain in 2 different places but both parts hurt at the same time when I move around 🤦🏽‍♀️. Also doesn’t help when I can’t keep still 😂

      Happy Reading to you too!!
