My Thoughts & Review

This was my first book from this author and having seen this book around when it first came out I couldn’t wait to give it a go. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy from my local library just before the libraries closed during the first lock down.

Recursion starts off as two separate storylines which come together to form one fast paced plot, that sends your mind into overdrive. This is a really a well-crafted book with characters and a plot you will become invested in at the start. But as the book progresses everything becomes confusing and repetitive. I think the main reason for this is the constant changing timelines. Also, there are a lot of perspectives to keep track of and by the end I just couldn’t remember most of them.

In all honesty I really don’t know how I feel about this book. There were definitely things I liked and things I didn’t but in truth after nearly 4 weeks since finishing this book I’m still confused, and really hope my thoughts make some sense to you all.
