Hi Folks,

Hope you’re all well. Today I have another mini review from my great friend Georgina. Today she is sharing her thoughts on a children’s book written by Paul McCartney.

Georgina’s Thoughts

As a Paul McCartney fan, last year, as soon as I heard that he would release a children’s book I had to go and pre-order.

‘Hey Grandude!’, is a nice little fantasy tale of a grandfather and his 4 grandchildren (Chillers as he calls them). He is looking after the chillers and to stop them being bored inside on a rainy day, they are magically transported to different fantastical places together embarking on a number of adventures. I think it would be a lovely book for a grandparent to read to their grandchildren, and not just for Paul McCartney or The Beatles fans 😉 . The illustrations by Kathryn Durst are really good and compliment the story well. McCartney has also lent his voice to the audiobook. I have only heard a clip of the audiobook and I liked how enthusiastic he was in telling the story. It would be a great listen too if you don’t have the physical copy of the book.
