Book/Audiobook I reviewed this month:
2nd October 2019
FIRST LINES FRIDAY:
4th October 2019 – This weeks first lines were from the book City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert
11th October 2019 – The first lines this week were from Bitter Orange by Claire Fuller
18th October 2019 – This weeks first lines were from The Chestnut Man by Søren Sveistrup
25th October 2019 – The first lines this week were from The Focus Program by K.T.Dady
This weeks quotes come from the book Postmortem by Patricia Cornwell and my favourite quote was:
“People often say they don’t dream, when it’s more accurate to say that they don’t remember their dreams. It gets under our skin, Kay. All of it does. We just manage to cage in most of the emotions so they don’t devour us.”
My favourite quote from The Last Precinct by Patricia Cornwell was:
“To hate another person is wrong. It is never right. Hate is a crime of the spirit that leads to crimes of the flesh.”
This weeks favourite quote from the book Body of Evidence by Patricia Cornwell was:
“A significant portion of the human race has no idea what it is like to be attached to short legs, and I am forever finding myself indignantly pumping along like a handcar in a world of express trains.”
My favourite quote from Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella was:
“We all fail to appreciate each day just how much we already possess. Light, air, freedom, the companionship of friends.”
Hope you all have a fab November ahead and I’ll catch up with you all soon!!!
