Thank you Alys over at Alys in Bookland for tagging me for this tag back in August. Sorry for the delay I’ve been playing catch up with my tags.
You can read Alys answers here and don’t forget to follow her if you don’t already.
This is take 2 you can read my first one here.
BOOK THAT YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO READ BECAUSE EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT IT
Ok, so at the moment everyone seems to be talking about Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff. I haven’t read this series and I think I need to read the series. I think I might add the series to my 2020 TBR.
A REALLY LONG BOOK
I’m going to keep to the same answer as in my first post and say Les Mis. The size still scares me, but I now own a copy of it thanks to be best friend friend who brought me the cloth bound version for my birthday this year. So, now I have no excuse not to read it.
A BOOK YOU’VE OWNED/HAD ON YOUR TBR FOR TOO LONG
The Return of the King by J.R.R Tolkien. I’ve had this boxset the longest on my shelves and this is the last book left to read in the series.
A BOOK THAT IS ‘REQUIRED’ READING (e.g., SCHOOL TEXT, REALLY POPULAR CLASSIC – SOMETHING YOU FEEL OBLIGATED TO READ!)
Lord of the Flies by William Golding. It seems most people read this book at school. But, we never did and I’ve always wanted to read it especially as people who have read it have said it was really good. I do have a copy of it on my TBR shelves so I will get around to reading it one day.
A BOOK THAT INTIMIDATES YOU
World Without End by Ken Follett. It’s quite long and the size alone is intimidating as I have so many other books to read.
A BOOK THAT YOU THINK MIGHT BE SLOW
Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis De Bernières. I’ve really wanted to read this book for years but I just think it might be a bit on the slow side.
A BOOK YOU NEED TO BE IN THE RIGHT MOOD FOR
I couldn’t choose an exact book but I definitely need to be in the right mood to pick up a book written by Jodi Picoult.
A BOOK YOU’RE UNSURE IF YOU WILL LIKE
I really want to read The Poppy War by R.F Kuang. It sounds great, but after all the hype I’m worried that I might not like it. Especially as hyped up books and me don’t really work out often. Never the less I will still give it ago once it arrives from the library.
I’m tagging:
Debjani over at Debjani’s Thoughts
Amanda over at If there’s a haunted house in it, I’ll read it
Johana Over at Bookmarauder
Crystal over at Crystals Book World
Sorry if you’ve been tagged already for this one, and no pressure to do this tag. Also if I haven’t tagged you you can still do this tag, just don’t forget to link back to this post so I can see your answers.

I can see why you need to be in a certain mood for Jodi Picoult, I love her books but they are definitely quite heavy. Great answers, Mani!

Love your answers! I definitely feel you on a lot of them. I feel that I have to be in the right mood for Picoult too but I’ve been a huge fan of hers since high school! I also feel the same way about Poppy War and I think that’s why I’ve been putting off reading it for so long? Lol I’m really worried I won’t like it 🙈

Thanks Dini!! I just signed up for the free trial on Scribd and The Poppy War is on there as audiobook so hopefully I can start it next few days, and it won’t be disappointing 😁. I love Picoult’s books, just haven’t had chance to read any of her newer stuff.

Thanks Emer!!! I finally picked up The Return of the King today. Reading it physically and listening to the audiobook. The series can finally be moved to my read books shelves 🙈😊
