WWW WEDNESDAY

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

Welcome to another round of WWW Wednesday.

This week I’ve had plenty of time to catch up with my reading, and even managed to catch up with some friends for dinner which was well overdue. But, back to reading. I managed to finish a few more books which puts my total for this month to 13 books read so far 😊.

What is WWW Wednesday?

It’s a weekly meme that I first discovered on Roachies Reviews blog, and that is originally hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

All you have to do is answer 3 simple questions:

What are you currently reading?

What have you recently finished reading?

What do you plan to read next?

So, without further ado here’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.

What are you currently reading?

This week I have started several books.

The Sword of Silence by Shaun Curry – I started this one over the weekend. I was a bit shocked with the starting but at the same time I didn’t want to stop reading it. I’ve only managed to read 2 chapters so far but from what I’ve read, I think this is going to be a good one. Hopefully!! 🤞I was sent a proof copy of this one by Harper Inspire.

Oh and I’m still working my way through The Chestnut Man by Søren Sveistrup. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I’m really loving this book but for some reason everytime I put it down, I end up not picking it up again for a few days. I think the main problem is I keep getting distracted by all the other books 🙈.

What have you recently finished reading?

The Other Half Of Augusta Hope

The Other Half of Augusta Hope by Joanna Glen – This was such a good read. I thought it was going to be a quick and light hearted read. Instead it turned out to be quick but not so light hearted.

City of Girls

City of Gils by Elizabeth Gilbert – I was really looking forward to reading this one especially having enjoyed reading Eat, Pray, Love but sadly this one didn’t live up to my expectations. I found it to be a bit too slow and just couldn’t concentrate on it.

The Two Tower by J.R.R Tolkien – I’m so happy that I finally managed to read the second book. I have the boxset of the trilogy and it’s been sitting on my shelves for way too long. I absolutely loved this book, I really don’t know why I’ve been putting off reading these books. (I will be post a review for all there books once I have finished them)

Bitter Orange

Bitter Orange by Claire Fuller – This one has been on my TBR since seeing it on social media. I’d heard mixed reviews about it so wasn’t really sure what to expect. I originally attempted to read a physical copy of this one but I don’t know I just couldn’t really concentrate on it, so decided I would listen to the audiobook at the same time. I finished this one late last night and still trying to work out my thoughts.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m hoping to pick up Chains of Books and Steel by Karen Gray and The Focus Program by K.T. Dady

  1. I’ve been hearing a lot about City of Girls (mostly positive) so I can’t wait to see your review of it. I wasn’t sure if it was for me after having read the blurb. I’m glad that you enjoyed The Two Towers – you can always count on Tolkien to be a solid good choice 🙂

  2. I’d love to hear your thoughts on Bitter Orange! It’s a book that I’ve been thinking about reading for a long time. The Chestnut Man is also high up on my TBR list. I hope that you enjoy it!

    • Oh Bitter Orange wasn’t what I was expecting!! I was disappointed with this one. I actually managed to make some progress on The Chestnut Man today and I’m loving it. Reviews will be going up in September 😁
