WWW Wednesday – 31st July 2019

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

Welcome to another round of WWW Wednesday. I hope you’ve all had wonderful reading week.

Since last weeks post, I’ve think I’ve done a pretty good job of finishing some books considering the busy week I’ve had, so I’m very happy.

What is WWW Wednesday?

It’s a weekly meme that I first discovered on Roachies Reviews blog, and that is originally hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

All you have to do is answer 3 simple questions:

What are you currently reading?

What have you recently finished reading?

What do you plan to read next?

So, without further ado here’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.

What are you currently reading?

This week I started 3 new books. All in different formats.

The first book I started is the audiobook for THE CABIN AT THE END OF THE WORLD BY PAUL TREMBLY. This one is a bit of a weird read. Im nearly at the end of it but I’m still trying to work out if I’m liking it or not.

The second book I started is Home Truths by Susan Lewis. I haven’t managed to read as much as I wanted to of this but hoping to make up for it in the next few days. I won my review copy from ReadersFirst last night I also received my email from NetGalley to say I’ve been approved for the eARC. 😂oh and I love to colours used on the front cover.

The third book I started was The Betrayal of Ka by Shea Oliver on my kindle. Again I’m not far into this one, but I’m liking what I’ve read so far. Also I only read this one in the evenings, so it’s taking a little longer than planned to finish.

What have you recently finished reading?

The first one was The Things We Learn When We’re Dead by Charlie Laidlaw and the second was The Possession by Michael Rutger and the third was The Test by Sylvain Neuvel.

The Things We Learn When We’re Dead is the second book I have read by Charlie Laidlaw and I have to say I’m really enjoying the uniqueness of the individual books. This book was a creative and quirky read.

The Possession – I won this book to review from ReadersFirst. I hadn’t realised it was the second book in a series until I went to add it to my Goodreads. I did get a bit confused when it referred to a few things which I’m assuming are from the first book. This book started off interesting but by the end it was ok-ish.

The Test – This was another one of those unplanned reads/listen. I was scrolling through the eAudiobooks on my library app and this one came up as available to download. I wasn’t entirely sure what the book was about but had seen it on social media feeds. I wasn’t sure about this one. It wasn’t really for me. This was a very quick book that I managed to start and finish last night.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not sure what to pick up next but it will definitely be something from my August TBR, which I will be posting tomorrow.

What’s everyone currently reading, finished reading or planning to read this week? Feel free to leave your WWW Wednesday links or just leave a comment down below.
