Mid Year Freak Out Tag

Mid Year Freak Out Tag

Thank you Jill for tagging me to do this one at the end of June, sorry for the delay. This is my first time doing this tag, and I had lots of fun!!!

You can all check out Jill’s answers here and don’t forget to follow her blog if you don’t already she has some fab content.

Best Book of 2019 So Far

Sleep by C. L. Taylor

There are a few books I could put here but I’m going to choose Sleep by C.L.TAYLOR. I recently read this and I couldn’t put it down.

Best Sequel of 2019 So Far

I’ve not picked up any new sequels, but I’m working my way through two series which are The Mortal Instruments series and A Games of Throne series. So for this one I choose both.

New Release That You Haven’t Read Yet But Want To

OMG!! There are so many but here are just a few:

Most Anticipated Release of the Second Half of 2019

The Testaments

The Testament by Margret Atwood. I read the Handmaids Tale last year. I enjoyed it but there were some unanswered questions that I have from reading it so can’t wait to see if they are answered in the next book.

Biggest Disappointment of 2019 So Far

The Wych Elm

Again there are a few but I’m going to with The Wych Elm by Tana French. I was really looking forward to reading this one but sadly it didn’t deliver.

Biggest Surprise of 2019 So Far

I only got around to reading it this year as part of our book club read. When I first started this one I wasn’t sure about it and even thoughtbabout DNF-ing it but by the end I really got into it.

Favourite New Author:

Oh this is a hard one as I’ve discovered so many new authors and this could be a very long list but I’m choosing Tomi Adeyemi. I recently finished reading Children of Blood and Bone and absolutely loved it.

Newest Fictional Crush

I don’t really have a fictional crush so will have to leave this one.

Newest Favourite Character

Has to be Zélie from Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adyemi. She sounds so cool and if she was real I would love to be her friend. If you can’t already tell I love this book and it may just have to go into my all time favourites.

Book That Made You Happy

This was such a light read that made a nice change to my usual reads. It’s nice to read something light and fresh

Books To Read By the End of the Year

There are so many!!! In fact I was sorting through my TBR shelf there are 33 in total at the moment.

But here are just a few that I want to try and get off my TBR Shelf.

  1. Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King
  2. Doctor Sleep by Stephen King
  3. I am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes
  4. The Doll Factory by Elizabeth Macneal
  5. Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
  6. The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris

  7. Good Samaritans by Will Carver
