I would like to start by thanking LoveReading UK and the authors for sending me review copies of both of these books, and giving me the opportunity to read and review these books.

Title: Jade and the Princess Mechanic

Author: Gavin Leonard

My Thoughts

This book is about a Princess called Becca who is an engineer that saves a group of tourists by fixing their jeep while out on safari. This is one of the books from a series that shows it’s acceptable for females to do a job that any male does.

I found this to be such an inspirational book that should be read to all the little girls in this world to teach them that they can do whatever they want to when they grow up.

I loved the illustrations in this book they were just so beautiful with lots of bright colours, which makes the book very appealing.

The story is simple and easy to follow. I showed this book to my neighbours grand-daughter and she loved it.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who has or knows a little princess. I think it would also be a great story to be used in an educational setting so that all children can learn it’s acceptable for the females to do the same work as any male.

I look forward to the next book in the series.

Title: The Trees Don’t Talk Anymore

Author: Fisayo Ajumobi

My Thoughts

When I first started reading this one, I thought it was going to be about a journey through the animal kingdom, but I was so wrong. In fact, this book is about the impact of  deforestation affects on the different habitats in the forest.

I found this to be a beautifully simple yet very interesting read that I enjoyed very much. By the time I finished it got me thinking about nature and how it’s being affected in by all the changes. The story is told through the point of a tree which I found strange at first but then as the story progressed it really worked out well.

This may be aimed for younger readers but I think it should be read by everyone. A great relaxing read.
