Synopsis/Blurb (taken from Goodreads):

“Emma Maria Rossini appears to be the luckiest girl in the world. She’s the daughter of a beautiful and loving mother, and her father is one of the most famous film actors of his generation. She’s also the granddaughter of a rather eccentric and obscure Italian astrophysicist.

But as her seemingly charmed life begins to unravel, and Emma experiences love and tragedy, she ultimately finds solace in her once-derided grandfather’s Theorem on the universe.

The Space Between Time is humorous and poignant and offers the metaphor that we are all connected, even to those we have loved and not quite lost.”

My Thoughts & Review

Let me start by thanking Charlie Laidlaw for reaching out and asking if I would be interested in reviewing this wonderful book.

I originally accepted this book because the description sounded like something I would enjoy. I was planning to pick it up to read in the last week of May but as I thought this was going to be a light read and it was what I needed. Well it turned out not to be a light read, BUT in the end I didn’t mind because the story was so interesting and unique in its own way.

I felt the book was well written. I found it easy to follow. It was also full of funny moments yet at the same time covered some important issues such love, lose and mental illness to name a few.

While reading this book I noticed that each chapter starts with a mathematical equation and I hadn’t really taken much notice of them at first, but looking back at my review notes I asked myself what do these equations mean? and now having finished the book and looking at them more closely I realised that the answers to the equations actually represent the chapter number. I’ve never seen this done and before and thought this was quite cool. I’m easily pleased with things like this.

Overall a great deep and overwhelmingly read where you can see an enormous amount of research has be done to create this realistic sounding storyline. If you’re looking for a book to get you thinking about life that this is a must read.

I will definitely be recommending this to a few  family members and as well as some of my friends.I will also be looking into reading his previous two books and have added them to my TBR list.
