WWW WEDNESDAY

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

Welcome to another round of WWW Wednesday.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful reading week. I’ve had a very busy and tiring week. I forgot how hard it is to keep my 4 year old nephew entertained all day especially, when the weather is rubbish. I salute you full time parent’s.

I knew this was going to be a slow reading week due to the Easter break but I’m still happy with the progress that I made.

What is WWW Wednesday?

For those of you who are new to WWW Wednesday and wondering what it is, it’s a weekly meme that I first discovered on Roachies Reviews blog, and that is originally hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

All you have to do is answer the 3 simple questions below.

What are you currently reading?

What have you recently finished reading?

What do you plan to read next?

and that’s it. It’s really simple.

So, without further ado here’s my WWW Wednesday of this week.

What are you currently reading?

I’m still working my way through Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. This is a strange read. I’m not sure what is happening at the moment but I still want to read on to see what it’s about. I’ve managed to get to chapter 20 so making good progress.

Over the weekend I also picked up The Willow Woman by Laurence Westwood. I’ve read 88 pages so far. From what I’ve read so far it’s a very original read that I’m very much enjoying.

What have you recently finished reading?

This week I managed to finish 3 books.

The first book I finished was Paris Echo by Sebastian Faulks. This is a book that I got from Netgalley. I finished this one on Saturday. I actually nearly gave up on it but decided to carry on just to see what happens at the end, After finishing the book it felt like I had been reading it for ages.

The second book I finished was KAEROU Time to Go Home by B. Jeanne Shibahara. It was very different to my normal reads but a book I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved learning about the Japanese culture both in the past and present. You can read my full review here.

The third book I finished was A Storm of Swords 1: Steel and Snow by George R.R. Martin. I read this both as a physical book and listened to parts of it on audiobook. I’m loving this series and am hoping to pick up the second part of the book soon. As I’m aiming to finish the whole series by the end of the year. 🤞

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have 4 books lined up. The first 3 are The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin, Little Darlings by Melanie Golding and City of Ghosts by Cassandra Clare all of these are on my April TBR and I’m a little behind with my TBR but I’m hoping to get quite a bit read over the next few days. I also need to start our book club read for this month Jamaica Inn by Daphne Du Maurier.

Anyway that’s all for this week, hope you all have a great week and I’ll catch up with you next week.

Happy reading!!!
