My Thoughts & Review
First of all, I’m going to start with an apology, this is mainly because I think this may actually be the worst review I’ve written since I started sharing my reviews. I have been trying to write this review for since finishing the book on the 16thMarch and I still have no idea what to write so here goes.
So, this is another book ticked off my TBR list. This is another book that I tried to read physically but just couldn’t really get past the 1stchapter until I started listening to the audiobook.
I’m going to start with the negatives first and then move onto the positives
- Couldn’t connect with the characters
- I was a little confused with the plot and the story and think there was too much going on.
- I found the pacing to be a little slow in places for my liking
- Good metal illness, and anxiety representation. I liked how Green talks honestly and openly about it. I think more books need to have this.
- Some good characters, I took a liking to Aza.
I’ve really struggled with this review and overall all I can really say is that this was an ok-ish read for me and I have given it an extra rating as I really liked listening to the narrator reading the book, she done a really good job. Otherwise it would have only been a 2-heart rating from me. Although this was not the worst or best book I’ve read this year I do recommend you give it ago as there are many people who thought it was worth 5 stars and absolutely loved it.
