Synopsis/Blurb (taken from Goodreads):

“Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.

Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.

But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them?

Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.

Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.

But what if they can’t quite nail a first date . . . or a second first date . . . or a third?

What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work . . . and Ben doesn’t try hard enough?

What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play?

But what if it is?

My Thoughts & Review

This was one of the most anticipated book of 2018, that I had loads about, sadly I didn’t get a chance to read it when it came out but I finally read it. When I first picked it up I wasn’t sure about it as I can’t get into books like this.  But I quickly got into this one and in the end couldn’t put it down.

I really liked how the two authors were able to blend their individual writing styles together to come up with such an easy to read book. I also liked the different  characters, I thought that they worked well together.

I did find that even though I liked the characters I didn’t always connect with the main  characters Arthur and Ben and sometimes found them to be rather annoying. However, I did like their friends Jessie and Samantha. Combined they remined me of my best friend. I think having characters from varied backgrounds and personalities helped me to enjoy this book even more.

Even though I thoroughly enjoyed the plot I also found it a little predictable in places, and I did work out the ending, but I actually liked how it ended as it made it more realistic rather than ending happy ever after ending. I also like the fact that it ends in a way where a second book is possible and if there isn’t a second book then it’s also fine.

All in all, a lovely read that I really enjoyed, and look forward to reading more books by both authors in the near future.

Would I recommend this book?

Definitely a book I would recommend if you haven’t already read it.
