My Thoughts & Review
I’ve wanted to read this book for, but never actually got around to it until now. I downloaded the audiobook from my library app.
I really enjoyed this book, although I’m not entirely sure about some things that happened, a very strange read for me. But maybe that was just me.
Not much happens when it comes to the plot, but strangely it still worked.
The book is written using first person narrative, from the point of view from the character Merricat, who is quite possibly mad.
I liked the characters, even though they aren’t particularly believable. They seemed to be quite Gothic.
When it comes to the plot, it doesn’t seem very plausible and nothing much happened, but yet it was strangely satisfying
I found the narrator Bernadette Dunneto be perfect for this book. She done a wonderful job in using a haunting voice that brought the book to life.
All in all, I enjoyed this short book it was worth reading and a great change to what I’ve been reading recently. I think most readers will enjoy this one too.
I’ve kept this review short and sweet because I don’t want to give anything away.
Would I recommend this book?
Yes, if you haven’t already read it then give it ago.
