Mini Book Reviews – December 2018

Here are some Mini Reviews of books that I have read this month.

I would like to thank NetGalley and the publishers for a copy of the books in return for an unbiased review.

Publisher: Penguin Random House UK Children’s, Puffin

Genre: Children’s Fiction

My Review:

I absolutely loved reading the original Matilda when I was a child, so when I saw this on NetGalley as a read now I had to download it straight away. ย I really can’t believe Matilda is 30.

Ok, so I think I may have got myself confused about this book when downloading it, as I thought this was about Matilda when she has grown up, but in fact it is the original book republished with a new front cover showing what Matilda could be doing now. Oh well, never mind, even after re-reading it after all these years it’s still one of my favourite Roald Dahl books.

My Friend Sleep by Laura Baker

My Review:

A great book for the littles ones just before bed. The illustrations are so cute. The story is simple and easy for the little minds to digest. Highly recommend.
